You will explore how communication influences workplace relationships, teamwork, and organisational performance. Through practical activities and real-world business scenarios, you will develop the skills needed to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences using contemporary business communication practices.

When you complete this course, you will be able to:
- Apply current communication theories in business situations.
- Explain how personal factors and behaviours influence communication.
- Use effective interpersonal communication skills in workplace contexts.
- Deliver clear and professional written and oral business communications.
- Analyse the relationship between communication practices and organisational performance.
Assessment
This course is 100% internally assessed and includes three assessment activities:
Written Assessment - Informal Business Report (30%)
Demonstrate your understanding of communication theory and business communication principles through applied analysis writing a professional informal business report.
Oral Presentation (40%)
Plan and deliver a professional oral business presentation. This assessment allows you to demonstrate your verbal communication, presentation, and audience engagement skills while applying communication concepts in a practical business context.
Written Assessment - Formal Business Report (30%)
Prepare a formal business report using recognised business formats, demonstrating your ability to communicate information clearly, concisely, and professionally.
