The course will enable learners to identify and analyse practices for creating community (including whānau, hapu and iwi) engagement, community development and increasing the responsiveness of public agencies to identified community need. It will consider community capacity building and the activities, resources and support required to strengthen the skills and confidence of community groups to take effective action for community development. It will also review processes and methods for community-led research and evaluation.
