This online course will build on the knowledge and skills developed in 71110 Introduction to Law, or an equivalent. It fits within the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and CPA Australia’s three year programme of study.

It also provides a basis on which to build - e.g. double majors and post-graduate studies.

Learners who successfully complete this online course will be able to:

  • Identify and evaluate the different forms of business entities.
  • Explain and apply to factual scenarios the laws relating to the formation, control and cessation of companies.
  • Explain the laws relating to corporate funding and apply them to factual scenarios.
  • Discuss contemporary practices and issues that arise within the legal environment of business entities.
