Teaching Practice (Level 7)

This training scheme includes two courses.

• You can only enrol in one course at a time.
• Start with EDU703 Effective Design for Learning.
• To enrol in EDU704 Teaching Practicum you must have successfully completed EDU703 and met the practicum requirements outlined below.  

EDU704 Teaching Practicum

As part of EDU704 Teaching Practicum you need to complete a four-week practicum, where you must teach at least 0.5 of a full-time teaching load, under the supervision of a fully registered teacher in a learning organisation.  

Before you enrol for EDU704 you need to:

• Negotiate your own practicum placement
• Email the TER Practicum Intention form (WordDoc 550 KB) and MOA to TER@openpolytechnic.ac.nz
• Have completed police vetting (outlined in the 'Entry requirements' tab).
