This online course will prepare you to be able to analyse structural elements and simple structures.

Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to:

  •  Calculate stresses caused by axial forces, shear forces and bending moments
  • Analyse simple structural elements and structures
  • Evaluate the range of common structural loadings and their effect on structures

 Assessment:

  • 50% internally assessed
  • 50% examination.
