This online course supports ākonga to further develop their subject knowledge and skills by applying them to principles and practices of technology as it is conceptualised and taught in New Zealand secondary schools. Ākonga will reflect on the practice, knowledge, and nature of technology (the technology strands in the New Zealand Curriculum).

Learners will analyse and critique technological approaches and processes and discuss ways to problem solve or innovate to create a range of solutions to everyday problems.
The course also provides opportunities for ākonga to develop their presentation and relational skills through their deepening understanding of how their specialist knowledge and skills can transfer into teaching and learning in a secondary school setting.
