To achieve the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Level 6) (Civil Engineering), you need to complete 16 courses.
We recommend you begin your study with DE4101 Engineering Fundamentals and / or DE4102 Engineering Mathematics 1. These courses are the foundation of the NZDE and introduces the areas of study that make up the diploma.
If you have met the required pre-requisites, you can plan your own study path or contact your student advisor for guidance. Pre-requisites are shown on the course pages.

Full-time and part-time study options
Enrolment in this programme can be full-time or part-time. If you are studying fulltime you can enrol in a maximum of four (4) courses per course offering.
If you are studying part time you can enol in a maximum two (2) courses per course offering. Part time study does not meet the StudyLink requirements.
Exam information
Some courses in this programme have an exam, which are in-person. Please check the course page to see if there is an exam, and check the exam timetable before you enrol to ensure you can attend the exam. Exam dates and times are fixed and cannot be rescheduled, this includes if the exam is scheduled on a Regional Anniversary Day.
