Closed to enrolments from new learners after the December 2022 intake
We are no longer taking enrolments from new learners for NZ245904 New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 5) (Leadership and Management) (Version 3) following the December 2022 intake. A new version of the programme will be available in February 2023, and Te Pūkenga is using this opportunity to develop a unified programme that will be offered online and in person at Te Pūkenga campuses.
Please check back on our website in 2023 for information on the new programme.
Re-enrolling learners
If you had already started studying NZ245904 New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 5) (Leadership and Management) (Version 3) you can continue to enrol in the December 2022 intake for version 3 of this programme.
From February 2023 we will transition all learners who have not yet completed all courses that make up this programme into Te Pūkenga version.
If you are intending to complete your studies in courses that begin in 2023, from February 2023 please enrol in Te Pūkenga Equivalent Core Courses required to complete your qualification. The equivalent courses are listed in the below table.

A reminder too, that learners who are studying NZ245904 New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 5) (Leadership and Management) must enrol in and complete their last course(s) within four years of their first enrolment to be awarded this qualification. This programme is made up of 8 compulsory courses, four compulsory core courses followed by four compulsory leadership and management courses.
After you complete the four core courses, you then need to complete all four courses in the compulsory leadership and management section to gain the qualification.
All courses in the Leadership and Management strand will be offered monthly and we recommend you study these courses in the order they are listed.
Compulsory Core Courses
We recommend that you start with BUS501 first and then work your way through the list finishing with BUS504 before completing the Leadership and Management courses.
