This online course will enable you to develop an understanding of computing principles and their use in engineering practice.

What you will learn

When you successfully complete this online course you will be able to:

  • Solve engineering problems using an engineering maths and analysis package
  • Develop a program to a specification by devising, coding and testing an algorithm to solve a specified problem
  • Use software packages, including spreadsheets, and/or discipline specific software to produce engineering solutions.

Assessment

  • 60% internally assessed
  • 40% exam, which you need to attend in person.
