Entry requirements
To be admitted to this micro-credential, you must meet the following requirements:
- Achievement of NCEA Level 2, Or
- Successful completion of an NZQA approved qualification at Level 3 or above, or equivalent.
If you do not meet these requirements, but believe you have the level of preparedness for study at this level, you may apply but will need to provide relevant evidence to support your application.
English language requirements
All applicants (international and domestic) for whom English or te reo Māori is not a first language need to provide evidence that they have the necessary English language proficiency required for the micro-credential.
International applicants must provide evidence that they have the necessary English language proficiency required for the micro-credential as demonstrated by an IELTS score of 5.5 (general or academic) with no individual band lower than 5.0 from one test taken in the preceding two years, or an equivalent described in NZQA Rules and on our website.
International learners and domestic learners living overseas
You can study this programme part-time if you’re an international student living in New Zealand or overseas. If you’re living in New Zealand you will need to be in paid employment with a valid work permit.
You can also study this programme if you’re a New Zealand citizen living overseas.
