Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to:

  • Describe the cultural differences and effects of stigma and discrimination with a particular focus on Te Ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi in a health or wellbeing setting.
  • Apply strategies to support cultural diversity, safety and empowerment in accordance with recognised organisational policies and procedures.
  • Apply knowledge of health and wellbeing policies and initiatives for different cultures in a health or wellbeing setting.
