This online course will teach you how to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies to apply appropriate reporting frameworks to prepare and present financial statements.

Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to:

  • Examine the reporting frameworks relevant to organisations in the Aotearoa New Zealand context
  • Apply accounting standards for the preparation and presentation of financial statements, including consolidated financial statements in an organisational context
  • Process transactions relating to the formation of a company and distributions in the Aotearoa New Zealand context

Assessment for this course is:

  • 50% internally assessed
  • 50% exam
