Management in Context in an online course that introduces you to key concepts in economics, ethics and law. You will develop an understanding of the economic, cultural, ethical and legal concepts and practices that have shaped the management context in New Zealand.
Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to demonstrate:
- An understanding of basic micro and macro-economic concepts.
- An understanding of the different cultures in the New Zealand workforce.
- An understanding of different approaches to ethical action, different approaches to the individual in society, and the concept of corporate social responsibility.
- An understanding of the sources of law, the basic principles of the law of contract, consumer law and intellectual property.
