This course links environmental decision making with the economy. It considers how monetary value can be assigned to environmental goods and services.

Topics covered include

  • public and private property rights in the environment
  • valuation techniques for environmental goods and services; and
  • the extent to which economic matters can influence government policy and decision making with respect to the environment.
