Role at Open Polytechnic

I am the Programme Leader for a suite of programmes that cover professional development for educators.  Along with a team of developers I am responsible for planning, writing and delivering courses to educators across a wide range of industries including polytechnics, universities, schooling sector and the corporate environment.  

Experience

I have a Bachelor’s degree, a post graduate primary teaching qualification and a Master’s in Education. I also hold the Open Polytechnic Certificate in Designing and Facilitating E-Learning.
I have represented the adult education sector over many years at the New Zealand Qualifications Authority writing qualifications and standards and moderating materials.

I have taught across the Pacific engaging academic staff who are new to online delivery and adult education and training qualifications.
In a previous life I taught communication skills, maths, and computing skills to foundation level learners. I have also worked in the area of Trade Marks and Patents as a Trade Mark Executive.
