Our Graduate Certificate in Library and Information Leadership will prepare you for a range of leadership roles in libraries, archives or records management.
When you complete this qualification you will be a confident, culturally competent, and collaborative leader. You will have the skill to empower and inspire people, communities and organisations to reach their potential.
Career opportunities
It is ideal if you work in management roles, or roles with a strategic focus designing and leading change. Roles you could work in include:
- library manager
- digital services manager
- service delivery manager
- archives director
- records manager
- information manager.
Study pathways
This qualification will prepare you to enter postgraduate diploma, masters and PhD qualifications in related areas such as:
- information management
- education
- management
- community development.
Who is not eligible for this programme
You are not eligible to enter this qualification if you have one of the following, with majors in information and library studies:
- Bachelor of Applied Science
- Bachelor of Arts.
You are also not eligible if you have completed two or more of the following courses:
- 72370 Information Issues
- 72371 Policy and Planning for Information Services
- LIS701 Critical Perspectives for Library and Information Professionals
- LIS702 Strategy and Planning in Information Organisations
- LIS703 Leadership and Advocacy for Information Professionals.
