Entry requirements
To enrol in the programme you need to have one of the following:
- New Zealand University Entrance, or
- Hold a New Zealand Certificate or Diploma qualification considered appropriate by the Programme Leader.
20 years old or over
If you are 20 years of age or over and do not hold the minimum entry requirements you will be eligible to be enrolled where your previous educational, work or life experience indicates you have a reasonable likelihood of success.
English language requirements
International students must also have an IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no band score lower than 5.5, or equivalent.
Domestic students for whom English or Māori is not their first language must also have an IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no band score lower than 5.5, or equivalent.
International students and domestic students living overseas
You can enrol in this programme if you are:
- an international student living in New Zealand and in paid employment with a valid work visa – for part-time study.
- an international student living overseas – in part-time or full-time study.
- a New Zealand citizen living overseas - in part-time or full-time study.

Computer and internet requirements
Courses in this programme are delivered online. This means you will access course material and submit assessments online. Our online courses may include reading, videos, quizzes or activities, and you may need to download content.
For online learning and assessments, you need:
- Regular access to a computer
- Reliable internet and data plan.
