Qualification Structure

This programme is 60 credits, it includes two compulsory courses worth 20 credits each, followed by an elective option consisting of 20 credits. You need to study the courses in the order listed below.

Elective options

Pathway one

Most learners complete the elective ATT503 Assessment and Evaluation for Adult and Tertiary Teaching as the final 20 credit course in the programme.

Pathway two 

Alternatively, learners can choose to complete the two 10 credit courses ATT504 Design and Create Assessments and ATT505 Moderate Assessment.

Cross credits

If you've already completed the unit standard ‘11551 Moderate Assessment’ and ‘11552 Design and Evaluate Assessment Materials’ you may be able to apply to have these unit standards cross-credited to ATT503 Assessment and Evaluation for Adult and Tertiary Teaching.

If you have completed only one of the above unit standards, you may be able to apply to cross-credit that unit standard for either ATT504 Design and Create Assessments or ATT505 Moderate Assessment.

The 10 credit courses allow you to complete only the learning you still need, rather than studying the full 20 credit ATT503 Assessment and Evaluation for Adult and Tertiary Teaching course.
