Entry requirements

To enter this programme you need to meet at least one of the following criteria:

• 40 credits at NCEA Level 1, including 10 Literacy credits and 10 Numeracy credits; or a recognised equivalent, OR

• A relevant qualification at NZQF level 2 or above. For example NZ Certificate in Business (Administration and Technology) (Level 3), NZ Certificate in Business (Introduction to Team Leadership) (Level 3) or NZ Certificate in Business (Introduction to Small Business) (Level 3), OR

• A recognised equivalen.

20 years old or over

If you are 20 years of age or over and do not hold the minimum entry requirements you will be eligible to be enrolled where your previous educational, work or life experience indicates you have a reasonable likelihood of success.

Language literacy requirements 

All applicants (international and domestic) for whom English or te reo Māori is not a first language need to provide evidence that they have the necessary English language proficiency required for the programme. 
 
International applicants are required to have an IELTS score of 5.5 (general or academic) with no individual band lower than 5 from one test taken in the preceding two years, or an equivalent described in NZQA Rules.

International students and domestic students living overseas

You can study this programme part-time if you’re an international student living in New Zealand or overseas. If you’re living in New Zealand you will need to be in paid employment with a valid work permit.

You can also study this programme if you’re a New Zealand citizen living overseas.

Courses in this programme are delivered online. This means you will access course material and submit assessments online. Our online courses may include reading, videos, quizzes or activities, and you may need to download content.

• Reliable internet and data plan.
