This course will giver you the expertise to investigate an engineering problem; to propose, specify, design and develop a solution and where feasible, to construct and test a prototype.

Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to

  • Synthesise a solution for an engineering problem.
  • Complete a project to a specified standard.
  • Design, project manage and evaluate a concept/model/product.
  • Use software application packages as an engineering tool, if required.
  •  Communicate effectively with customers, peers, technicians and engineers.

Assessment

Assessment for this course is:

  • 100% internally assessed

 

Bachelor of Engineering Technology prerequisite requirements (for this course)

  • 30 Credits or more at Level 6 in the chosen major of the Bachelor of Engineering Technology degree

Civil Engineering major:
