Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to:

  •  Critically evaluate the relationship between addictions, co-existing mental health problems, identity and psycho-social functioning.
  • Analyse the impact of addiction issues on the lives of service users and their natural supports.
  • Demonstrate the ability to conduct a comprehensive assessment of addiction and co-existing mental health problems.
  • Analyse national guidelines and practice frameworks regarding the management of risks when working with addiction and co-existing problem (CEP) service users.
