The aim of this online course is to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies required for a critical understanding of financial accounting issues within an Aotearoa New Zealand context.
When you successfully complete this course you will be able to:
- Critically evaluate accounting theories within the context of financial accounting
- Apply accounting treatment and disclosure for selected accounting issues and complex business structures in compliance with the Aotearoa New Zealand reporting framework
- Critically examine contemporary issues related to financial reporting within a national and international context.
Assessment
- 50% internally assessed
- 50% exam, which you need to attend in person.
