Entry requirements
You need to meet the English language requirements and access to a computer that is able to record and upload audio files (see computer and internet requirements below).
We are unable to enrol learners who are home-schooled or still at school. If you are of school age you may be asked to provide a Ministry of Education leaving certificate.
English language requirements
Domestic and International learners for whom English or Māori is not their first language must have an IELTS (Academic or General) score of 5.0 with no band score lower than 5.0, or equivalent.

International students and domestic students living overseas
This programme is available international students living in New Zealand.
This programme is not available to international students or domestic students living overseas.
Computer and internet requirements
This programme is delivered online. To complete this programme you will need:
- access to a laptop or desktop computer
- a reliable broadband internet connection and a data plan able to support online learning such as streaming videos (including YouTube), listening to audio files, downloading content, and writing and submitting online assessments.
- a computer with a working microphone, as assessments require you to record yourself and upload the audio file.
Software and hardware requirements
When you study with us you have free access to online and downloadable Microsoft 365 software, including Outlook (email), Word, PowerPoint, Excel and more.
It’s important that you familiarise yourself with this software as you will be using it often during your studies.

Audio/microphone requirements
Assessments and activities in each course require you to record yourself speaking so you need to have a working microphone installed or connected to the device you are using. You will save your audio files and upload these for marking.
