This online floristry course will give you entry level skills and knowledge in the principles of design and fundamental practical techniques of floristry. It is ideal for new entrants into the floristry industry.
When you successfully complete this course you will be able to:
- Describe the key features of the elements and principles of floral design.
- Identify hazards in a floristry studio.
- Demonstrate basic floristry wiring techniques and the safe use of basic floristry tools.
- Assemble floristry items to demonstrate the principles of floral design.
Assessment
This course is 100% internally assessed.
Tools
You will require floristry tools, wire, wrapping materials, access to flowers and foliage for practice and for assessment. The Open Polytechnic will supply floristry stock for you to complete the assessments.
