Application for Special Consideration

Special consideration may be approved and is intended to assist a student who, due to exceptional circumstances beyond their control, has been disadvantaged in comparison to other students. This process applies to all enrolment options - trimesterised/fixed period and open.

The possible outcomes which may be approved are an extension period of time to complete an assessment or enrolment, or transfer of your enrolment to the next available trimester.

Your enrolment cannot be transferred to another person as it is a legal contract between you and Open Polytechnic. If you have any questions about extensions and transfers, contact us
