Current Students
If you were already enrolled in the Certificate in Web Design and Writing prior to 19 July 2017 with Open Polytechnic, you can continue to enrol in your next course to complete your qualification. 

Please note, you must be enrolled in your last course by Trimester 3, 2018.  The last date for enrolment in Trimester 3, 2018 is 21 October 2018. 

You must have successfully completed both courses by the end of Trimester 3, 2018 to be awarded this qualification from Open Polytechnic.

    Approximately 10-12 hours study per week for each 20 credit course. This may be higher at assessment or exam time.

    Approximate cost for the full qualification based on 2018 fee information, not including annual administration fees, fee increases, textbooks, course materials or external exam fees.

What you will learn

When you achieve this qualification you will be able to:

  • produce a design plan that responds to business requirements for a web
    design project
  • develop web documents using web authoring and online tools, which validate to the latest W3C recommendations, satisfy business requirements and are usable
    and accessible
  • write clear and effective web content.

Career opportunities

You may find entry level career opportunities as a web administrator or designer in any organisation with a website or become a self-employed consultant in the future.
