The Achievement Award in Sterilising Practice is an ideal programme to study if you use sterilisation procedures in office based health service organisations, such as podiatry clinics, general medical practices, dental clinics or tattoo parlours. You will gain skills in the reprocessing of reusable medical devices from decontamination through to sterilising and storage.
For each credit, allow about 10 hours of study. This may be higher near assessment due dates.

This achievement award will give you the knowledge to support sterilising practice in an office-based environment. You may also find employment in sterile service departments or be able to undertake further education and training in sterilising technology.
