This course will build on your existing mathematical skills and enable you to solve complex mathematical problems in the real world. You will also gain basic mathematical skills that are required in science and engineering contexts.

You will learn how to

  • interpret and use relations and functions of various kinds
  • work with trigonometric functions, using degrees and radians
  • apply the geometry of a straight line, the circle and other curves
  • investigate rates of change using differential calculus
  • use integral calculus for areas under curves and other applications.
