Course Information

You will study natural light, artificial light and the history and psychology of lighting.  You will look at colour value and distribution of light, types of lighting and the definitions of lighting terms.  This course will show you how to create lighting plans for interior and exterior areas and look at different fittings and styles.  The nine design activities in this course have been created to enhance your learning experience.

For these two assessments you will be required to show your understanding of lighting, its history and future as well as prepare lighting plans and recommend appropriate fittings.

The course runs for 12 weeks from your start date. The time you need to complete your studies will vary depending on your own knowledge and experience. As a guide it could take you approximately 10 hours a week to complete the course within the 12 week time frame.
