You will be able to apply this knowledge to daily care tasks for three species of companion animals in an animal care organisation, or lifestyle block animals on a lifestyle block.

Learners who successfully complete this online course will be able to
- Describe basic compliance systems in New Zealand for animal welfare, health and safety, and local by-laws.
- Describe the basics of general animal biology and physiology (not species specific).
- Describe the importance of regular daily care for animal welfare.
- Perform basic regular daily animal care tasks in accordance with compliance requirements to protect animals, humans and the environment.
