Models of reflective practice are introduced with links to the role of assessment in supporting young children’s learning and development.
Students who successfully complete this course will be able to
- Demonstrate library skills including using electronic data bases to access early childhood journals and educational research
- Identify a range of data gathering methods to plan and provide for young children’s learning and development
- Discuss the role of assessment in supporting children’s learning and development
- Develop an understanding of praxis and models of reflective practice
- Discuss current research and literature involving Māori and Pasifika children and their families.
