No, the Certificate in Teacher Aiding cannot be cross credited to the OSCAR Certificate.

You must spend at least 20 weeks on each course which is 2 school terms.
We recommend you plan your study around the school holidays if you work in a holiday programme. We advise students not to start in December or January if they are involved in a holiday programme .
The enrolment period for each course is 32 weeks but the last assignment for each courses is due by week 28.
4290 - Introduction to OSCAR, then 4291 - Extension to OSCAR.
It could be anywhere from 3-8 weeks. If you have a current police vet, send us a copy so we have that while our police vet is being processed.
Yes. We will do a police vet once you have sent us the correct documents. It is a requirement of the Vulnerable Children’s Act.

When you are completing the online enrolment for your course you will be able to access the Workplace Support Reference form.
This is a form which must be filled out by the OSCAR programme you are working/volunteering in which confirms you are able to do your practical hours in the programme.
No, you can be a volunteer.
No, the hours only count while you are studying each course, this is so you can complete the assignments.
Yes, at least 3 hours a week during each course or two holiday programmes. This has to be verified in your assignments. In terms of hours in the workplace, you are required to spend at least 30 hours in a OSCAR programme for each course.
