Online learning and study services

We have a range of online learning and study services to help you access courses materials, check your results, keep your account information up to date and receive updates from us. You’ll also have access to Microsoft Office products.

Online Campus

Online Campus is your online learning and study hub where you’ll find your course materials, study resources, course quizzes and tutorials, online student forums, and the contact details for your lecturers.

It also allows you to submit assignments online, and communicate with other students in your course and with your lecturer.

My Open Polytechnic

My Open Polytechnic is your online student portal where you can access:

  • Qualifications & courses – check assessment due dates and course results on your My Open Polytechnic homepage, or click through to see all of your qualification and course information including your final results.

  • My courses in Online Campus – go direct to your course page in Online Campus, our online learning environment.

  • My Study Plans –find out how to create a study plan or go to your latest study plan.

  • My Favourites – your place to bookmark links to useful web pages to help your study.

  • Office 365 ProPlus – this gives you access to online versions of Microsoft software. You can also download the Microsoft software to your computer for free.

  • Key dates – links to enrolment dates, exam dates and the request an assessment extension form.

  • Your Open Polytechnic account information.

My Open Polytechnic is also the online portal where we post alerts updates that are important for our students, such as scheduled online maintenance . You can also keep up to date with our latest posts on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

How to log in to My Open Polytechnic

Office 365

You can get to Office 365 through My Open Polytechnic. It gives you access to online versions of Microsoft software, including:

  • Word

  • Excel

  • PowerPoint

  • OneNote

  • Outlook, including a free @myopenpolytechnic.ac.nz email, calendar and organiser.

You can also create, edit and save your assignments to OneDrive, which has unlimited free online storage space. Never lose an assignment again if the unthinkable happens and your computer dies. 

Office 365 ProPlus

Office 365 ProPlus includes access to all of the online Office 365 software, but also lets you download the latest version of Microsoft Office to your computer. You get five licences to download additional copies of the software onto any Windows or Mac PC you want.

If you download the Microsoft apps from the Apple App Store or Google Play store, you will also be able to access all of the files that you saved to your Sky Drive account from your phone or tablet.

If you need a new desktop PC, Notebook or Printer, HP has a special discounted rate on selected products for Open Polytechnic students. To receive your HP discount:

  • register and login using your student email address (find out your @myopenpolytechnic email address by logging in to My Open Polytechnic, and looking at the Office 365 ProPlus information)

  • browse and add items to your cart
