This qualification builds on the knowledge gained in the Level 4 Certificate. It is suitable for adult educators working in education and training, including polytechnics, wananga, private training establishments, on-job training in workplaces and distance learning.
Admission requirements
To be enrolled in this qualification you will need to be involved in training and have access to at least 3-5 adult learners, either in a workplace, community-based organisation or by distance learning*. To confirm you meet the on-job requirements of the qualification, you will be asked to provide details of your employment in adult education or workplace training as part of the enrolment process.
*Access to adult learners/trainees means that you are able to train adult learners towards a specific skill or that you are involved in on job training. If you need further clarification please email Customer Services or call 0508 650 200.
The learning materials contain activities that you can work your way through. There is one assessment task for each unit standard. This task includes written answers and also included verification in the form of a signed learner feedback sheets and observer/manager verification.
