This is an introductory programming course. However, it assumes that students already have a good understanding of how information technology is used in business, as well as the concepts of how software is designed and implemented. You need to have the skills to use personal productivity software (eg Microsoft Office) at an intermediate level.

This course will enable you to design and implement software to solve problems using a Visual Basic programming environment. It will also help prepare you for Level 6 courses in the Information Systems & Technology major and associated diplomas, and it provides a strong platform to continue to develop your skills in Visual Basic or other programming languages.
