Course materials

What will the course materials be like?

When your course starts, we will send you printed course materials by post. If your course is online, we will email you information and instructions on how to access your course material.

The materials we provide are internationally renowned and of the highest quality. They may include:

  • Specially written course books or workbooks
  • Online teaching materials
  • CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs and computer software
  • Audio and visual recordings.

These materials are yours to keep. You will also be able to access course information through the Online Campus.

When you enrol, you will get a study guide, a copy of the Student Handbook and information about any contact classes and exams (where relevant).

Set texts

For some courses, you may need to buy set textbooks. These are an additional cost and are not included in your course fees. There is specific information about texts on the course information pages.

Texts can be bought online from the vicbooks website.

Second-hand textbooks

You can buy and sell second-hand textbooks through the vicbooks website.

Be careful when buying second-hand books, and make sure you are buying the right edition. An out-of-date edition might be cheap, but it will probably have out-of-date information.

Set texts are not available from the Open Polytechnic Library.
