The aim of this diploma is to provide a qualification that enables you to develop valuable skills that will help you work with children and their parents, teachers, and caregivers of children who are exhibiting behavioural and/or emotional problems.
In order to be able to provide remedial input, you will develop an understanding of child and adolescent psychological disorders and therapeutic techniques. This diploma is particularly suitable for students who have previously completed a Level 5 qualification in psychology, counselling or social services.
Approximately 10-12 hours study per week for each 20 credit course. This may be higher at assessment or exam time.
