OP6202 Diploma in Strategic Communication (Level 6)
The Diploma in Strategic Communication (level 6) focuses on strategic and global communication issues. It is designed for people who wish to complement an existing qualification, such as a management or business degree and who wish to enter the communications field. This diploma is also for individuals already in the field to gain a qualification to advance their career or in preparation for a further degree.
Graduates will be equipped to work in a range of areas: communications advisory, management, and policy roles; advertising and marketing communications; corporate communications; IT; management; and communication training.
The diploma provides students with the skills and knowledge to: write business and technical reports; prepare and deliver oral presentations; develop and evaluate communication policies and strategies; implement and manage communication processes; assess the impact of information technology on society; understand modes of mass communication and principles of their operation; critically examine cultural, societal, interpersonal, and ethical issues in communication; and carry out communication-related research. The diploma can be credited to towards the BA Communication major or the BAppSci Communication major.

To complete a Level 6 Diploma in Strategic Communication, you must pass a total of six courses, with at least four at level 6 or 7.
