If you are already working in a library or information profession, or would like to, here's a first-level qualification that's a stepping-stone to the Information and Library Studies major. You'll learn about libraries and the information industry, library technical services, cataloguing, professional image, information literacy and search strategies using a variety of sources.

To complete a Level 5 Diploma in Information & Library Studies, you must pass a total of six courses, selected from the following:

Under 20 years
Must have 60 credits at NCEA Level 3.
Over 20 years
Open entry.
