This course provides an introduction to the law and practice associated with the land transfer system, conveyancing and property law. This course is available in the following programme(s):

OP6600 New Zealand Law Society Legal Executive Diploma (Level 6)

  • Form and type of land ownership
  • Standard agreements for sale and purchase
  • Mortgages
  • Residential tenancies.

Students will be able to

  • Assist lawyers in conveyancing work (buying and selling property).

Assessment

New Zealand Law Society Examination

Key dates

Enrolment is from 1 November to the end of February. Late entry is subject to Programme Coordinator approval. Exams are held in late October. Exam entry must be made by 30 June, late exam entries, subject to a late fee, by 30 September.
