About the course

This course gives students a basic knowledge and understanding of the law profession, how a law office runs and the performance of selected tasks relevant to legal executives. This course is available in the following programme(s):

Assessment

New Zealand Law Society Examination

Key dates

Enrolment is from 1 November to the end of February. Late entry is subject to Programme Coordinator approval. Exams are held in late October. Exam entry must be made by 30 June, late exam entries, subject to a late fee, by 30 September.

Additional Fee Information

Alternative Study Option

The New Zealand Law Society currently exempts students with a recent pass in the semesterised course 110 Introduction to Commercial Law from the requirement to pass Introduction to the Legal System.
