71151 Programming with Visual Basic
About the course
This course will enable students to design and implement software to solve problems using a Visual Basic programming environment. This course will help prepare students for level 6 courses in the Information Systems and Technology Major and associated diplomas, and provide a strong platform to continue to develop skills in Visual Basic or other programming languages. This is an introductory programming course, however, it assumes that people enrolling in the course already have a good understanding of how information technology is used in business as well as the concepts of how software is designed and implemented. Students need to have skills to use personal productivity software (e.g. Microsoft Office) to an intermediate level. They do not need any programming knowledge.
