A brief guide to enrolling at the Open Polytechnic

Before you start

Many programmes and courses have specific entry requirements that you need to be aware of before you enrol. You can find out about these on the programme and course pages.

Read the Guide to Enrolment, which includes the Terms and Conditions, before you complete and sign the declaration section of your Application for Enrolment. This information applies to everyone who enrols with us.

Checklist for enrolment

Before you send in your Application for Enrolment you should check that you have considered the following:

  • Are you eligible to enrol?
  • Do you meet the entry requirements for your selected Programme or course?
  • Is your course open, fixed-term or online?
  • Have you completed all of the relevant sections on the Application for Enrolment form?
  • Have you attached verified documentary evidence of your age and citizenship or residency with your application?
  • Have you attached verified programme admission or prerequisite documentation?
  • Are you aware of the fees associated with your enrolment?
  • Have you read the Guide to Enrolment and Terms and Conditions prior to signing your application?

Once you have decided on the programme or course you wish to enrol in, you can:

Once you have completed your Application for Enrolment you can drop it off at one of our Learning Centres (Auckland or Christchurch), or post it to us:

What happens next?

Once we have received your Application for Enrolment it will be checked to ensure all sections have been completed, all documents have been provided and you are eligible to enrol. If you have met all of the necessary entry requirements, once we have received payment from you, your application will be confirmed and your learning materials will be sent to you.
