Enrolment fees

All fees are expressed in $NZ, are inclusive of GST and applicable worldwide. Any students studying with us while resident overseas are exempt from GST, which will be deducted from your total fees. The fees shown on this website are correct at time of publication and may be subject to change. Exact fees will confirmed as part of your enrolment.

Course fees

All courses have an enrolment fee, which vary depending on the programme you are enrolling in and whether you are a New Zealand student or an International student. For specific course fees you need to refer to Programmes and Courses or the relevant Programme Guide, or contact us. All fees listed on this site are in New Zealand dollars and include GST where applicable.

Student administration fee

All students enrolling with the Open Polytechnic will be charged an annual student administration fee of $50.00.

This non-refundable fee incorporates a number of services available to you as a student, including course transfers, extension to enrolment period, examination (excluding resits, recounts and reconsiderations), and cross credits (New Zealand qualifications only).

International handling charge

All students living overseas, and who are not studying courses fully online, are required to pay an international handling charge for delivery of course materials. For ‘trimesterised’ courses this charge is paid once per trimester, and for other, ‘open’ courses, this is paid with each enrolment.  The appropriate charge will be added to the course fees and invoiced with each enrolment.

• East Asia and North America - add $95
• Europe - add $105
• Rest of the world - add $120

Textbooks

Some of the courses offered require a textbook, or set texts. The cost of set texts are not included in your enrolment fee. Refer to Textbooks for information about where to purchase your set text.
